Synopsis

As a film reflecting modern rural life, Tongxi tells the story of Jia Youquan, a kind-hearted man who makes a living running an orchard and a small restaurant. However, the local custom of lavish gift-giving at social events leaves him financially strained. This sets off a chain of humorous and touching events involving family, money, and rural tradition.
