Synopsis

"Curbing Evil" is set in the Republican era and follows A Yue, a wealthy young woman who discovers her new husband, Ren Hao, and his accomplices plan to murder her to seize control of her family's mining business to fund the Japanese invasion of China. After learning of the conspiracy, A Yue narrowly escapes but is pursued relentlessly by her husband and his partners. Throughout her harrowing journey, she faces numerous life-threatening challenges, including betrayal and torture, yet she never gives up. The film culminates in a dramatic showdown where A Yue confronts her adversaries, embodying the principle that justice prevails over evil.
