Synopsis

Fleeing their unsuccessful attempts to have a child, Yana and Alex decide to live with his grandmother, where a pastoral rural life awaits — strange neighbors, sprites, and evil creatures. Beneath what Yana dismisses as “old wives’ tales” lurk nightmares buried deep in her urban mind — about pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood. Is becoming a mother a guarantee of happiness?
